This radio is cute and multi functional. I bought the orange one and my granddaughter liked it so much she ordered the yellow one. I love all the features it provides.

This radio which I have owned for 3yrs now and use daily is excellent. Its still going strong and I think radios like this is getting harder to find. A solid state radio with a nice large enough speaker to fill a room with talk radio or whatever with clear sound.

I seem to collect emergency radios like this one. Have to say it has some heft to it and is sturdy so if you're into light weight backpacking you should look for something lighter.
I'm confident I can put this in my winter emergency kit in my car and endure the NH winters.
So I modify EVERYTHING I buy and this was no exception. I took silver and black sharpies and filled in the wording on controls etc. Next I applied reflective tape in several places so if dropped outdoors in no matter which way it lands I'll be able to see it.
So to sum it up, here's my thoughts...
PROS.
1 The crank to power it up can be both clock/counter clock wise.
2 The flashlights are actually bright and seem well built.
3. The usb port will charge up a cell phone (I have no idea how long it'd take) but still, it does.
4. Volume goes up high enough to cause others to turn the damn thing down AND it doesn't distort at all.
5. It's cool that it's also BT compatible and takes micro disks (I'm to old to understand why .
6. The lights by the volume know are cool. Top blue let's you know it's charging and yellow below indicate battery power.
7. I'm old school and love the station indicator display, also antenna is 18.5 inches long.
Cons, not really any but one thing I dislike is if you set it upside down or pack gear on the top, the little round flashlight button is easily pressed to the on position. I'm going to put those small adhesive rubber bump stops around it.
Lastly if they made it compatible with a type C charge cord you could use that cord to charge the unit and also use same cord to charge your cell. This way you wouldn't need two different cords...minor issue.
The sos isn't really loud to alert someone more than 50' away on a calm day.
To conclude, I've bought several of these as Christmas gifts.

I like everything about this radio the value, the sound, all the radio stations I can pick up the only thing is when the device is turned off the blue light keeps flashing and I don't know why or if it's supposed to do that. Other than that which is a minor detail I really love it! can't wait to use it when I go camping!

There's a couple of bad parts the Speaker cover fell off I lost mine.
And the Speaker 5Watt Speaker is not enough it distorts if you turn what Bluetooth your connected to it .
At the reading light should have more than one setting.

Nice little radio. Heavier than I thought it would be, in a good way tho.
Cute and retro looking, the solar panel charges very easily. Plenty loud enough for the size. The lights are bright, weather radio picks up at least one wx station. The crank is smooth, easy to turn.
Perfect to pack along to the beach, in an emergency, or just out in the yard.

Very impressed so far. This radio has it all. Both am and fm, weather band, emergency band, flashlight and reading light, micro SD slot and USB, headphone jack, solar charger and wind up charger plus standard wall charging. For $20.00, this is an incredible value. Even the audio quality exceeds my expectations. It sounds very good considering the price.
Tuner and volume controls are old school but work well.
