As storm season approaches you need to be prepared. This is a great device that serves as a flashlight, radio, weather radio, and charging station. It can charge using solar power, by a hand crank, or by plugging it into the wall. So even if the battery runs down you have the ability to charge it back up again. I have several of these around the house in case of emergency. I highly recommend getting one of these for your house today.

A good basic radio that is small enough to carry where I want it, and still gives good sound. Not a boom box or something to take jogging, but good to have in the event of a power outage or to have next to me when grilling on the patio.

This Weather/AM/FM radio has great sound and excellent reception! The small size and light weight make it easy to move/carry. Being able to use the radio without or with batteries makes it perfect for everyday use or use during storms without electricity, respectively.

This is for the J-950 model. I really like this little radio. Great sound, great reading light, and great retro look. It has everything I wanted, including the TF card slot, so I can listen to my own music. The reception is also really good, even without the antenna extended. I was going to return the radio because I noticed that even after charging, the battery charge lights and the battery level lights were still turned on. Nothing I did would turn them off. I was going to return the radio, thinking it was defective, but I decided to write the manufacturer and received the following response: We are glad to receive your letter and thank you for purchasing our radio, we are happy to help you. This radio it has a solar panel, when the solar panel receives light energy, it will charge, so the charging indicator light will flash. You can try covering your hand over the solar panel and you will notice that the indicator light will no longer flash. It is normal for the radio to blink when its solar panel comes in contact with a light source indicator even if it is fully charged. Please feel free to use our radio. If you have any other questions, please write to me. Best regards, PRUNUS. . When I covered the solar panel, which was receiving strong light from a lamp, the lights went out. So, I guess I'll keep the radio!

We needed a weather radio since when the power goes out the nearby cell tower also goes down, leaving us no way to know what's going on. This radio works as advertised, the built-in battery was charged when it arrived, so it worked right out of the box. It also has the option to switch it to AA battery power. The hand crank, plug-in, and solar will only charge the built-in battery. The reception of both the weather frequency and regular radio frequencies work well. Lights also work well, but we won't use them in order to save battery for using the radio. Recommended.

This emergency radio has lots of functions and they all work great. The siren is super loud, the radio works great, the 2 lights are bright and function great, and so much more. The built in battery bank is large and could charge your cell phone in any emergency. The best part is the 4 different ways it can be powered. Solar, batteries, rechargeable battery, and a hand crank make sure this will work no matter the situation. The solar and hand crank both charge the battery. Get one and keep it easily accessible, this one works great.

This radio should be in every emergency bug out bag or even in your camping gear. It not only has a light and radio but can charge your phone. Charging is slow but will get you enough juice to make calls.

We have very strong and frequent storms in TX and having an emergency radio is a must-have. I really like this one as it has LI battery, AA battery, a hand crank and a solar panel. The solar panel will charge the LI batteries but not the AA batteries. You can use rechargeable AA but they will not get a charge from the solar panel or hand crank.

The radio works well. I have it preset to the NOAA frequency and it does pick up the station very clearly. Volume Control is good and the tuner is pretty precise for the local radio stations.

There is a lanyard to carry this by. The solar panel is flat to the surface and when opened the LED light bar is on and I cannot find a way to shut it off. Minor issue IMO.

The only downsides to this are that the tuner view window does not light up so in the dark you cannot see the frequency and it is not waterproof. This would be a nice feature especially if you are in a car and have car trouble but for the price, this is a pretty great little radio.

After losing electricity for 4 days in Louisiana, this was a must-have item to keep stored. We had no way to charge our phones, and I was ill-prepared for an F1 tornado. This allows manual crank charging, and I will keep it next to my bed!

Good emergency radio/flashlight/siren/charger. Can charge the included rechargeable battery by integrated solar panel, crank charger, or USB. Also can use AA batteries.
