i was a bit worried about the potential blackouts in the UK this winter. This makes me feel a lot better. I can use batteries, pre-charge or crank so I can use all the time.
Good sound quality, loud enough to fill a room with music.
Durable material. Light on it too! Seemed like a reasonable price. I sifted through and this out did all of them under £40.
I’m going to use it for camping in the summer next year.

When I received the radio my sister was with me so I was showed her all the features. I found my favourite radio station quite quickly and easily. She was very impressed with what it could do, so I gave it to her as her birthday was in few days and I bought a second radio for myself. I remember reading one of the reviews for this radio which said the sound was tinny, but I have to disagree, it has a nice clear sound even when the volume is turned up high.

I bought this in case of power cuts in the UK. It's exactly what I wanted, it has multiple ways to keep it powered and the sound quality is fine and goes quite loud. The torch is quite bright as well. Will be really useful in an emergency.

In all honesty, I bought this (and a few Amazon batteries) just in case we do actually end up having a war. Not as crazy as you think with the way the world is going.
It's a high quality radio with everything you need on it just in case. Buy it, be ready.

I've had this radio a few weeks, great to have a mains re-chargeable battery and it works fine for me the charge lasts over a week. Having alternative 3xAA batteries, wind-up or solar panel charging too is terrific on a radio of this price, also a separate on/off switch - volume control, which is where my last 2 portable radios broke. The torch is a decent power, the reading light useable, the alarm very loud (beware!), the radio is also usable as a charging device for other appliances. Anyone looking for a sub £30 portable, this is hard to beat.

Bought radio in case of power cuts in the UK to keep in touch with the outside world. Works on battery, charge, solar and wind up so all basis covered. Good sound quality and works a treat.

Usual excellent service from Amazon for me. Product comes with lots features. Internal battery can be charges via USB lead or the rotary wind up handle. Also can be trickle charged through its own solar panel. Very happy with purchase.

I am completely impressed by this small radio. I love the fact that it's multi-purpose for daily or emergency use. We live in a fully electric flat and if there is a power outage, it will be necessary to listen to the news and have access to a light. I will also suggest that this radio is the perfect affordable Christmas gift !!!

All in all amazing product especially for the price everything works to a tea only thing i didn’t like was that you can’t charge your phone using the aa battery but other than that amazing the sound quality is great for such a small thing i recommend buying one definitely if you like sitting in the garden and camping and tbh everyday life.

Love everything about this
Absolutely perfect for living a little off grid . Haven’t needed to even put batteries in the solar charge and very minimal crank keeps it going strong even when the light and radio are both in use for hours . Very impressed

I have been using this in my greenhouse to listen to the radio. It only needed one charge from the house to get it going and has been happily working from solar power since then. Great torch and handy to charge my phone when needed. Recommended!

This could be very well the device to have on hand if we experience lots of power outages this year! It is also great to have as an outdoor radio/light source. There's a lot crammed into this compact radio!
This attractively designed, functional, emergency radio has a plethora of functionality including a torch, a reading light and an AM/FM radio. Additionally, it can function as a power bank, but this is not its primary function - the power bank has a capacity of 2500 mAh.
I like the design of this radio. The bright yellow fascia with a black body and sides looks really good. It is compact and also relatively lightweight at just over 350 g. The crank handle is mostly contained within the body of the radio and its overhang at the back is barely noticeable.
The radio is quick to tune as it is tuned by turning a knob rather than having a digital tuner. This really is no disadvantage as it is easy to scan through stations this way. The only thing is there is no fine tune knob, so you need to select the station and then maybe just turn the knob a little to fine tune. A LED illuminates when you are tuned in.
The sound produced is more than adequate for personal use. I also found FM reception to be excellent and didn't need to extend the telescopic antennae. As for AM reception it worked fine but I never listen to AM broadcasts, preferring the superior sound conveyed by FM.
When used with good quality earphones, this device outputs a pretty good sound.
The torch works well but what is really cool is the reading lamp which is activated by lifting the solar panel - the solar panel is hinged; underneath there is a 5 LED reading lamp that provides ample light to read by. Conversely, this also means that you can also angle the solar panel to catch the best light as the light doesn't switch on until the panel/light is almost fully rotated.
I have been able to charge this device from empty by both using the hand crank and solar power. The two methods work well to charge the radio, Indeed, they work so well that I have not installed any AA batteries in the radio; the hand crank and solar charging are certainly enough to charge the built in LiPo battery. This device can additionally be powered by a micro-USB cable as well as 2 x AA batteries. So, you have many options to charge it.
Being easily charged by solar (and also having the ability to hand-crank) is the killer feature for me. This means that you are not dependent on external power sources.
Are there any negatives about this radio? Not really - there's no Short Wave band and the SOS mode is at one end of a 3 position switch with the other end the light switch, so you can easily activate it. Once you are aware of its position, you are much less likely to accidentally activate it. The SOS mode is very loud and I consider it is probably meant along the lines of a panic alarm.
Finally, the unit is completed with a hand sized lanyard and there is a silicon cover to protect the ports of the devices.
In summary, this is a great device and excellent value for money.

The “Wind-Up and Solar Powered Portable Radio with Flashlight, Lamp and Powerbank” is a very handy all-in-one wind-up device that’s ideal for long camping trips and/or a post-apocalyptic Armageddon scenario!
First off, the wind-up radio is incredibly robust. It’s outer body/shell is made from a very durable injection-moulded hard plastic that can easily withstand general knocks and drops – which often come with camping!
Using the radio and other features is incredibly easy. It’s all very self-explanatory and doesn’t require any in-depth reading of an operator’s manual or anything.
In essence the radio has four options for power:
(i) Using the micro-USB cable that’s plugged into a power source.
(ii) Hand cranking it
(iii) Solar panels
(iv) Using 3x AA batteries
In essence what you have is a powerbank with a built in radio that can be powered/charged using the solar panel and/or the wind-up crank. Furthermore, the torch and lamp parts are incredibly handy extras that both work very effectively and produce plenty of bright white light.
For the very reasonable price attached to this I’m incredibly impressed. It’s go so many handy features for camping and emergencies. Furthermore, these features all work incredibly effectively in their own right – without anything letting the product down.
Really highly recommended.

We go camping as a family and tend to use our smartphones (with external power banks) to listen to the radio. We took this with us during our last weekend away and were mightily impressed.
This AM/FM radio can be charged in multiple ways: solar, USB, AA batteries or by winding it up, though this is the least handy. The sound isn't too bad at all considering the smallish speaker, but we tend to listen to talk radio stations, so this isn't really an issue.
The radio is attractive and robust and should last a good while. It also has a flashlight built into it, which again is useful when camping.
A brilliant little device and one I wouldn't hesitate in recommending for all campers or festival goers.
