I have wanted a NOAA weather radio for some time. This radio provided all the features I was looking for and more. Arrived quickly. It has a pleasant FM radio sound. I am happy with this purchase.

I know I live in a modern world where everyone listens to their phone with earplugs. That's just not me.
I was looking for an old-school transistor radio that still got clear reception to do my reviews in many locations. I really like this radio.
It takes 3 'D' cells and can be carried anywhere.
I am listening to it right now.
I pretty much listen to the news on AM and a whole host of different music on FM. However, I can see that during a blackout the other bands would be handy.
In any case, I highly recommend this radio.

Update May 18th: I had my first flea market this last weekend. I had this radio on for the full 5 hours and the batteries held up all the way through. Venders on both sides of me asked if I would crank it up so they could enjoy it as well. Crystal clear all the way.
In any case, I highly recommend this radio.

I wanted a traditional portable radio with AM/FM/Weatherband radio and with decent reception and good sound. This Prunus J15 radio is the radio I selected. It's a portable radio, a bit larger than my older Sony portable radio. It takes 3 D batteries to run away from home. Built in handle. Long radio antenna...much longer than most portable radio antennas I have seen in the past 20 years. Pretty good AM and FM radio reception. Weather radio works good and Shortwave reception is typical.....hard to pick up stations....but it's there if you know what to look for on the shortwave band coverage this radio has. Really a great portable radio. You can use headphones on this radio via headphone jack. AC power cord included. Sound qualities is pretty decent for a cheap portable radio and build quality seems very good. 5 stars for this radio.

This radio is light and portable, it gets great reception and seems to get even more stations than radios that I have. The weather bands come in clearly and while the light is not extremely bright (it is 3 LEDs) there is plenty of light for like camping or going for a walk. The dual power options are a great thing with the 3 D batteries helping to provide weight and stability. The power cord is plenty long enough, but it would be nice if the radio had a place to store it. This radio is well worth the money and a perfect goto for Camping, a boat or just to keep close at hand.
