I needed a small radio to listen to NPR in the bathroom whilst dressing in the morning.This is perfect - quite small, and it's red, my fave--The lithium battery doesn't last particularly long, but it's easy enough to plug it into my iMac - it charges fully in several hours. I like it!

I was having trouble tuning in a clear station with my other radio. But with my Prunus all my stations come in clear. I really enjoying it.

This is a practical little radio. It scans to find the stations, and found a lot more than I thought I could get from this remote island I live on. Reception is good on many of them. All stations are assigned a number from 1 to 30 or so, and you have to remember the assigned number to find your station. That was difficult in the beginning because I couldn't just go to the stations own number or see it on a dial.

My 95 YO mother wanted to listen to 2 radio stations on her multifunction CD player and could not figure out how to switch the CD player to radio--much less to FM. It was impossible for her to figure out how to get the radio stations she wanted. So, my siblings and I decided to look for a radio which had a big digital radio station display. We bought 2 radios--one red and 1 blue. We set the red radio to one (classical music) FM radio station and we set the blue radio to the news station she wanted. We showed Mom how to charge the radios (easy!) and turn the radios ON and OFF! Situation SOLVED! The PRUNUS Portable Radios were small enough to both set on her nightstand. Easy to program. Had large digital readouts for the radio station and were very very affordable!

As far as radios go this one is easy to use and works well. I haven't had a chance to use the MP3 features but the radio features are great. You can pretty much store as many stations as you like by simply pressing the scan button and letting them all load in. From there you simply press the number of the station you want on the easy to read keypad and your off to the races. The speaker on this thing gets very loud and is surprisingly clear and full sounding for a radio. The LED display is also clear and easy to read. I also really like that the battery is rechargeable so I never have to worry about tracking down disposables. A couple of small gripes 1) the compartment where the rechargeable battery goes is far bigger than the battery itself which makes me worry that a sudden jolt could dislodge the battery from its connections and 2) this radio does not support AM which just seems like an odd oversight for a radio.Overall I pleased with how this radio performed and can recommend it to anyone.
