I needed a small radio to listen to NPR in the bathroom whilst dressing in the morning.This is perfect - quite small, and it's red, my fave--The lithium battery doesn't last particularly long, but it's easy enough to plug it into my iMac - it charges fully in several hours. I like it!

The sound is exceptional. Did I mention how good the sound is?

I was having trouble tuning in a clear station with my other radio. But with my Prunus all my stations come in clear. I really enjoying it.

This is a practical little radio. It scans to find the stations, and found a lot more than I thought I could get from this remote island I live on. Reception is good on many of them. All stations are assigned a number from 1 to 30 or so, and you have to remember the assigned number to find your station. That was difficult in the beginning because I couldn't just go to the stations own number or see it on a dial.

My 95 YO mother wanted to listen to 2 radio stations on her multifunction CD player and could not figure out how to switch the CD player to radio--much less to FM. It was impossible for her to figure out how to get the radio stations she wanted. So, my siblings and I decided to look for a radio which had a big digital radio station display. We bought 2 radios--one red and 1 blue. We set the red radio to one (classical music) FM radio station and we set the blue radio to the news station she wanted. We showed Mom how to charge the radios (easy!) and turn the radios ON and OFF! Situation SOLVED! The PRUNUS Portable Radios were small enough to both set on her nightstand. Easy to program. Had large digital readouts for the radio station and were very very affordable!

Father-in-law wanted a new radio, so I got this for him. I have used this a few times since receiving it about 10 days ago. Here are some quick impressions:- The radio is small enough to fit in my pant pockets. So, it is quite portable and easy to take around with me.- There is a Mode button on the front to switch between different modes. I was able to connect to all three signals: FM, AM, and Shortwave. However, all car radios and most smartphones these days also come with built-in FM radios. So, this radio is more useful when hiking or traveling in remote areas. That is where I see it being more useful than in the cities.- The radio also plays music from SD card or USB. So, the extra music listening options is great.- The 3watt speaker delivers loud sound, which is great considering the small size of the radio. The sound is quite clear when the radio is being used outside the city limits, into rural areas. However, when I use it within the city limits to listen to FM stations, there is quite a bit of static or disturbance, possibly due to frequency laps since there are so many FM stations in city limits. But, I am quite satisfied with the overall performance.- While the radio performs well overall, I have one important concern. This radio uses a rechargeable battery that is quite small. So, I don't know how long that will last. And, the product description does not mention whether replacement batteries are available for purchase. The battery is of a slightly odd size, so I am not sure I can find it in a nearby store. Including that information would be helpful for customers.

Great little radio to use pretty much any time. The reception is amazing and sound clarity is spot on. Once fully charged the battery lasts for quite a few hours. I've used it outside while working on cars and even camping. It's SD and USB compatibility make it so useful I could go on and on about it's uses. I'll just say it was a very good purchase and I plan on using it all the time. I don't know how it will handle being roughed around but I shall update my review with updates.I do a lot of research for all of my purchases so I enjoy helping people save time and make informed decisions on there purchases, That is why I take the time to write about my experiences. The radio works well, there is a light burned out on the face of the digital clock on this one though and it makes it hard to read, but, my dad still uses it to listen to the hockey games though. He doesn't change the channel much so it's not a problem.The radio is quite clear, it is a good signal and we tend to have poor reception where we live.

As far as radios go this one is easy to use and works well. I haven't had a chance to use the MP3 features but the radio features are great. You can pretty much store as many stations as you like by simply pressing the scan button and letting them all load in. From there you simply press the number of the station you want on the easy to read keypad and your off to the races. The speaker on this thing gets very loud and is surprisingly clear and full sounding for a radio. The LED display is also clear and easy to read. I also really like that the battery is rechargeable so I never have to worry about tracking down disposables. A couple of small gripes 1) the compartment where the rechargeable battery goes is far bigger than the battery itself which makes me worry that a sudden jolt could dislodge the battery from its connections and 2) this radio does not support AM which just seems like an odd oversight for a radio.Overall I pleased with how this radio performed and can recommend it to anyone.
