Radio is very well made. With 3 'D' batteries for power it should play for a long time. Unlike most radios in this price range is receives the AM band very well. FM is good and the shortwave coverage is very good. I would recommend this radio to anyone who needs a simple, long lasting radio.

It's exciting for me watching Prunus continually develop their line of portable radios. Bit by bit they are adding novel features while keeping prices very affordable. Their J-15 AM/FM/SW model is a recent addition. It has a very attractive design and a nice solid feel. Running on three D cells or AC wall power, the J-15 gives a good performance on all bands. As with all current DSP portables, a bit of back-and-forth adjustment may be required to lock in on weaker stations. This is normal. I am especially intrigued by the unusual dual-action tuning knob; it's not geared vernier tuning but is interesting nonetheless. I'm finding the Prunus J-15 a very fun source of entertainment and information!

This is a great little radio. It sounds great, was easy to set up and is a good thing to have if you live in a storm prone area and are likely to lose power. It looks nice and is lightweight and easy to carry around too.

I originally bought this radio for my mom.I love the construction.the tone is very nice.great features from the built in torch light to the battery compartment and Ac cord for the wall outlet.Radio stations are easily accessible,the carry handle is a welcome addition.loud rsdio for its size.To sum it up a great radio at a great price.

It picks up many stations in near and far locations. No static, just clear reception of many stations for my pups to chill to. I highly recommend this radio. Great value.

The radio I received wouldn't work on batteries. After contacting the distributor they replaced the radio promptly. The new radio works great. The sound quality is very good and I am very pleased with it. Also think that Prunus was very good to deal with. I would buy from them again.
